The 2022 FIFA World Cup is just around the corner starting Sunday, Nov. 20 and running through Sunday, Dec. 18.

Since many of us probably aren’t hopping on a 15-hour flight to Qatar, we wanted to start the conversation on local watch parties + places to watch the games that will allow Chattanoogans to take in all the blood, sweat, and tears from right here in the Scenic City.

Keep in mind that some matches on the schedule broadcast as early as 5 a.m. EST, so some of the spots below won’t be open for all the games.

Pro tip: USA will play its first match on Monday, Nov. 21 at 2 p.m. EST against Wales. âš˝

🏆 Tremont Tavern | Opens 11 a.m. | This local tavern will be hosting World Cup watch parties again this year, with announcements on beer and food specials to come.

🏆 Chattanooga Brewing Co. | Various hours, closed Mondays | This space that often draws a soccer crowd will be opening earlier than normal to show games during the World Cup + offering watch parites.

🏆 CHI Memorial Stadium | CHI Memorial + The Red Wolves will host World Cup viewing parties at CHI Memorial stadium’s Executive Club with food and drink specials.

🏆 Clever Alehouse | Various hours | Clever plans to serve food inspired by the teams playing + open early for various World Cup games.

🏆 Tailgate Brewery | Opens 11 a.m. | Tailgate’s Chattanooga taproom is the official watch party for the American Outlaws Chattanooga — a chapter of the largest USA team watch group. The brewery will host watch parties + be cheering on USA.

🏆 Naked River Brewing Co. | Opens 12 p.m., early for games | This local brewery will host watch parties for all 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. games (unless closed for a holiday) — plus, get $5 pints during all USA games.

🏆 Southside Social | Opens 11 a.m., closed Mondays | This Southside spot with plenty of TVs plans to show some of the World Cup games.

🏆 Jonathan’s Grille | Opens 11 a.m. | An upscale sports bar, Jonathan’s boasts over 50 TVs to catch some matches.
