Good morning, Nooga. 🌤️ Intern Brianna here, and I’m excited to tell you guys about a new excursion experience that Chattanooga has to offer. Tennessee River Gorge Excursions, a family-owned pontoon boat tour and rental company, opened for its first season this summer.

The new company may have opened only recently, but the owners already have big plans for its role in the city. In fact, owner and captain Jesse Gaylor said that they are passionate about giving back to the Chattanooga community and hope to host river trash cleanups at the end of the summer + beginning of fall.

He also said that they are always interested in volunteering and hope to offer their boat services to those who may not have the chance to experience them otherwise. They are looking to partner with local organizations and churches to do so.

“[River Gorge Excursions] is not only a boat rental/tour company, but it is a family-owned business that supports the TN River and all it has to offer. Additionally, we are very passionate about giving back and helping the Chattanooga community to the best of our ability!” —Jesse Gaylor

The company is located on River Canyon Road off of Suck Creek Road (only a 10 minute drive from downtown), and they offer four and eight-hour boat rentals + two-hour captain-led excursions on the Tennessee River Gorge. (Bonus: You can also take a sunset tour on weeknights with groups up to six, or enjoy Saturday brunch on the river with a complimentary bottle of champagne. 🍾)

In the future, Jesse said that you can expect to see more boat rental and tour opportunities as the business grows. They also have promotions + giveaways planned for their social media pages, which you can find here and here.

You can learn more about the company and book a rental or excursion here.
