Ahh, trivia night at the local Chattanooga bar. Where else can you flex your encyclopedic knowledge of random sports trivia, pop culture references and geographical facts? Of course, I know the three countries that border Suriname. Don’t you? 🌍

Even though that wellspring of knowledge isn’t relevant to your daily life, at trivia night (i.e. Pub Quiz) you can obtain an Einstein level of genius + the respect from your peers and opponents for knowing obscure Beatles lyrics, Pokémon facts + how many hot dogs Joey Chestnut can stomach. And you might even win a free pitcher of beer or a gift card, too.

It all started in the 1970s in the U.K. with local pubs offering trivia to help bring in patrons on slow nights. But trivia night has turned into a cultural phenomenon with millions of people competing weekly for a chance at cash prizes.

NOOGA has at least ten trivia nights happening every weekand there are other random one-off themed events like “Friends,” “Harry Potter” and just “the 90s.” You just have to show up and play.
