Remember last summer when we introduced you all to Chattanooga Culture? Well, this news calls for a reintroduction as the kombucha spot has undergone some changes — including taking over Chattanooga Kombucha.

Let’s ferment on the details of Scenic City’s sole maker of this tea product + what’s happened since we last spoke with Fermentation Master and Owner Matt Cone.

Chattanooga Culture was originally brewing out of the former Flora de Mel meadery location in Rossville, GA, but soon after its neighbor Mac’s Kitchen and Bar announced it would be closing, Cone said he also wanted to part ways with the space. That’s around the time Chattanooga Kombucha Owner Daniel Reading reached out to discuss selling/merging the two businesses.

Part of this merger means that Chattanooga Culture has taken over Chattanooga Kombucha’s wholesale accounts (think: Gaining Ground Grocery, Canopy Coffee and Wine Bar + Common Table), its weekly spot at the Chattanooga Market, and the tap trailer.

For fans of both products and those that haven’t tried it yet — you can expect the same style of experimentation coming from Cone + a new line that will help ease your taste buds through this transition.

The Cosmic Collection will continued to be rolled out over the next few weeks + will be available to purchase by the bottle soon.

The Cosmic Collection is currently being rolled out through the tap trailer at market pop-ups like the Main Street Farmers Market + Ooltewah Farmers Market. This line will feature a different flavor profile and color for the planets — like Earth, which is a kiwi basil kombucha.

Bonus: Cone said 10% of the proceeds made from Earth sales will go toward the Tennessee State Park System.

There’s more brewing on the horizon — folks can also head to the Chattanooga Choo Choo on Saturdays to get kombucha from the truck (next to the trolley car) + expect a new storefront coming soon in the Ridgedale neighborhood.
