Chattanooga Zoo to host Bidders for Critters to support expansion

The Chattanooga Zoo will host its inaugural Bidders for Critters online auction to raise funds for its ongoing Cape of Africa expansion.

The Cape of Africa expansion will feature new African animals, an expanded giraffe yard, areas for up-close animal encounters, a waterfall and other water features, and more.

In case you missed it, the Chattanooga Zoo is currently expanding + will introduce its Cape of Africa exhibit to the public this summer.

To support the expansion, the zoo is hosting its inaugural Bidders for Critters online auction now through Saturday, April 27. The auction will feature over 70 items ranging in value (some even up to $2,000).

What’s up for grabs? Here are a few items you could win:

  • Dinner on the zoo’s giraffe feeding platform
  • Behind-the-scenes experiences with zoo staff
  • Up-close animal encounters + animal art experiences
  • Tickets to local attractions + reservations at local hotels
  • Gift certificates to local businesses
  • Artwork from the Red Bank Artisan Guild

Note: All bidding will take place online + each item will be awarded to the highest bidder at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. Winners should reach out via email to make arrangements to pick up their prizes.
