The Chattanooga Public Library will celebrate Tennessee royalty Dolly Parton’s birthday with a special Reading 9 to 5 contest on Friday, Jan. 19. It’s time to pour yourself a cup of ambition because we’re breaking down some of the fun.

To highlight folks’ love for reading and Parton’s work through the Imagination Library , this takeover will have events at all area branches from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Think: Scavenger hunts, readings, a Dolly matinee movie screening, and Dolly-themed trivia.

For the main event, enter the all-ages 9 to 5 Reading Contest by heading to any library location + picking up a special bookmark to track your reading for the day. Once complete, return the bookmark for a chance to win prizes.

Bonus: Signal Centers will be offering a limited supply of free books from the Imaginary Library at all locations.

Don’t dilly, Dolly — grab your best blonde wig and check out the full lineup .
