Locals who have “a deep passion for history” and the desire to create a positive future for history are encouraged to attend a discussion on Thursday night. Organizers with Picnooga, a local online history organization, along with interested community members will host a discussion about the logistics of a Center for History and Industry for the Chattanooga area. According to a news release, the discussion will invite attendees to dream big about a potential Chattanooga Museum:

Business, industry, and entrepreneurialism are well-footed in Chattanooga’s DNA, so it makes sense to focus on that rich history. Stories will be exhibited through the perspective of a diverse workforce throughout Chattanooga’s history. Activities at the center will be educationally heavy in programs for school-aged children. Additional community and adult education will focus on the future of local business and industry, preserving and protecting our region’s history, and serving as an incubator for innovation and opportunity, using the past as an example.

The meeting is limited to 50 participants and registration is required. It will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at Spring Hill Suites at 495 Riverfront Parkway.
