New Main Street restaurant State of Confusion is opening on Aug. 20 and aiming to raise money for the Chattanooga Community Kitchen. On opening day, the restaurant, which is located at 301 E. Main St, will accept donations to support the local nonprofit. Square One Holdings, whose leaders also own and operate Stir, is bringing the new concept to life. Chattanooga Community Kitchen CEO Jens Christensen said in a prepared statement that Square One Holdings has been a wonderful partner and the organization’s leaders are thankful for the support during the upcoming grand opening. “With these donations, State of Confusion and our community are helping to meet the most basic needs of hungry, homeless and vulnerable people in Chattanooga,” he also said. CEO of SquareOne Holdings Allen Corey said the new restaurant is locally owned and operated, and local partners did the renovation and interior design. “Our servers and bartenders are local, and we are supporting our local community by raising funds for the Chattanooga Community Kitchen,” he also said in a prepared statement. The restaurant will serve made-from-scratch Latin, New Orleans and low-country food, such as ceviche, homemade bologna and muffuletta as well as meats and veggies off the wood fired grill.
