Hidden cash scavenger hunt expands to Northwest Georgia

Chattanooga’s hidden cash scavenger hunt is expanding into Northwest Georgia.

The scavenger hunt craze originated in San Francisco, California, as a “social experiment” and spread to other cities across the country, including Chattanooga.

The idea is that an anonymous donor hides cash around a city, then tweets clues and pictures of where it can be found.

The anonymous local donor tweets from the handle @HiddenCashChatt

The donor said that starting the week of Oct. 18, he will be adding Ringgold, Fort Oglethorpe and Rossville to areas where he might hide cash.

If that goes well, he is considering starting a totally separate North Georgia drop.
