The Chattanooga Lookouts season officially begins April 12, and fans can expect new colors for both the road and home uniforms.
Members of the Lookouts, local media employees and officials from the Children’s Hospital at Erlanger unveiled the new jerseys during a news conference at Erlanger’s e-Kids Learning Center on Wednesday.
The new jerseys were modeled by members of the local media and children.
Latricia Thomas of NewsChannel 9 displayed the new home uniform, which features an antique white color with red lettering and black trim.
The road uniform was worn by WDEF News 12’s Joe Legge. It features the traditional road gray with “Chattanooga” written across the chest.
The alternate uniform was the biggest surprise. To be worn on Thursdays, the all-black uniform features the “‘Nooga” moniker with matching black hats. The trademark Lookouts eyes are also highlighted.
“We think this is the next phase for the Chattanooga Lookouts,” said Jason Freier, principal owner of the team. ”[The uniforms] have, over their history, adopted the colors and branding of whoever their major affiliate was. But we wanted to do something that’s related to the Lookouts primary logo and is distinctly Chattanooga.”
